Engelhorn Reunion '96

The 1996 reunion was held in Lansing, Iowa. Highlights included a visit to the graves of our c. 1850 ancestors. Visiting graves was on the agenda, but I didn't think it would be all that exciting.  However, standing over the graves of these people I only knew from boxes on a genealogy chart gave me a powerful feeling of connection to the past. These markers brought the dead to life.

It was a super reunion.  We had dinner on the river one night that was just great. It was fun meeting all these relatives.  You can count on us to be at the '98 reunion in Colorado.
